Sexually transmitted infections

Long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARC) do not provide any protection against sexually transmitted infections. Also pills, rings, patches or sterilization do not protect against any sexually transmitted infections. Only the use of a barrier method, such as a condom, can protect you against sexually transmitted infections.
